Road Rage Like a Psycho

Driving is supposed to feel relaxing and fun. Just the idea of being on the road is such a good feeling. I love getting into the car, blasting my music, and taking off on the road. Smooth sailing, I think. That is until I come across the occasional idiot. That's when all hell breaks loose.

For anyone who has never been in a car with me, let's just say you have been blessed and that your life has been saved. That does not mean that I am a horrible driver. I just happen to have a really bad case of road rage, where even I question whether or not I should be even be driving. Now this is what I am going to ask you, the reader. Are you anything like me when it comes to road rage? Here is how you can find out.

Cussing in Different Languages

Being bilingual has it's many advantages. Being a psychotic road rage-er and bilingual? Not so much. Sometimes when another driver decides to switch lanes and not use their blinkers, almost crashing into each other, I'll let out a couple F you's in English or Spanish. Sometimes I find myself speaking Spanglish, sometimes I make up my own language in the middle of being profane via road rage. One weird time, I spoke German in a fit of rage. Weird, right?

Singing Your Anger Out Through Music

They say that music is the best therapy. That's why should make two separate playlists for the road; a car jams playlist and a road rage playlists. Some recommended songs include Marvin's Room by Drake, Te Bote by Nio Garcia, or Be Careful by Cardi B.

Just Pull Over and Breathe

This might be the healthier alternative to road rage. Sometimes it's just better to part your car in the nearest parking spot and cool down. Don't hit the road until you know that your mind has been cleared and you know you can make it to your destination safely.

If you've read this and believe that you might be like me when it comes to road rage, tell me what you think. Maybe we can find a solution to this and become happy, safer drivers.

*Please be safe and responsible when on the road.
