Clubbing During Quarantine Is A Thing! Here's How.

It's day whatever since I've been in quarantine and I have been doing everything that I can to keep myself entertained. While strolling through my Instagram last night, I saw nightclubs such as BarCode and Lit 21 promoting live performances by a couple of DJs that I heard of from while school was still in session. The party animal in me couldn't resist so I decided to give virtual clubbing a try.

At first, I thought that virtual clubbing was going to be stupid. Who would get up from bed out of no where to start twerking to their phone screen? I can answer that question; ME!

Ever since quarantine started, I had the sudden surge to party and go to a club; things that I normally don't want to do on a normal sunny day. I have been practicing for Bad Bunny's Safaera and Yo Perreo Sola challenges since this pandemic started and even twerked on Instagram Live with a friend. I found myself listening to reggaeton and trap music more frequently than normal. I even added that genre of music to my study playlist, finding myself dancing while studying.

I'm not sure if this is my body telling me to finally act my age and go out to party. However, once this shutdown is over, which I hope would be soon if people weren't being stupid and would stay home, maybe I'll consider going to more parties. Until further notice, I'm going to have to party with my AirPods in my ears and bust out some dance moves while my family judges me more than usual.

In efforts to have people enjoy themselves at home, I think it is a good thing that clubs like BarCode and Lit 21 are taking the time to have DJs perform live on their Instagram accounts so people can party in the safety of their own homes. Just be cautious that you do not have an actual party with people in your homes because the police will come and shut you down followed by legal action that will be taken place. Be smart and FaceTime a friend or tell them to log on Instagram when these live streams take place.
